Our client, one of Australia's most recognised financial institutions, is seeking a Senior Technical Specialist with extensive WebSphere and Linux skills to join their team. The successful candidate will work closely with development teams to deliver and support operational production services.
Your key responsibilities will involve:
Building, configuring and supporting technical web environments based on Linux / WebSphere / Tivoli / Directory technologies
Provide day-to-day technical support and resolve problems and issues that arise in production systems
Liaise with application support teams, other infrastructure teams and external vendors as required for problem resolution
Manage small changes and minor releases end-to-end and also be involved in large scale projects
Involvement in after hours support (on-call support on a rostered basis)
Mandatory Requirements:
3 years minimum exposure and experience with UNIX / Linux flavours, particularly Red Hat 3 or higher
Solid experience with IBM Websphere v5.x / Application and Portal Server
Exposure to IBM Websphere Business Integration Server Foundation, Edge Server, Network Deployment Manager, etc
Solid understanding of TCP and Inter-networking
Exposure to, and an an appreciation of ITIL
